Confederation of Indian Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (CIMSME) is one of the fastest-growing organizations in India, primarily working for the MSME Manthan sector since 2017. It has expanded its footprints in the state of Gujarat in the recent past.

In order to strengthen the MSME ecosystem, it organized a virtual event called ‘MSME Manthan’ during 17-18-19 Sep 2020 (4 pm & onwards). Because I aimed it at educating business owners and business enthusiasts on the solutions that are available to them, build their capacity to take advantage of these solutions, and build their businesses to match their dreams.

CIMSME-Gujarat thanks 1400+ MSME Manthan owners and enthusiasts for their overwhelming response to the webinar. Because in this webinar, Shri J Ranjeet Kumar (IAS), Commissioner of MSME, Gandhinagar decoded the new Gujarat Industrial Policy 2020. Also, the supply chain expert Mr Chandan Chatterjee spoke about how to become the preferred supplier to large companies. Shri Rohit Soni, Deputy DGFT, Gandhinagar highlighted the new initiative of Districts as. SIDBI’s package for MSME was shared by Shri Neeraj Srivastav, DGM, Ahmedabad, which would help in managing finance and funds for business continuity in stressful times. The participants could gain insights on how to become competitive through Quality Management. In a very engaging session, Mr. K V Srinivasan, MD & CEO, Profectus Capital Private Limited, Mumbai shared his views on how to leverage the financial services ecosystem.

Different companies shared special insights on procurement management through their representatives viz Mr. Rohit Soni, CPO of Arvind Ltd, Mr. Niraj Dalal, AVP (MM) of GSFC Ltd, Mr. Sumesh Goswani, SVP (Purchase) of Cadila Pharmaceuticals Ltd, and Mr Mukesh Kumar Tiwari, CGM (O&M/ OIC) of GAIL (India) Ltd, as a part of their vendor engagement initiative. The speakers from Kenya and Ethiopia presented the business opportunities for Africa. Interestingly, the topics like ‘why do business fail?’ by Mr. Manish Upadhyay and ‘Seven mental blocks’ by Mr. Aslam Charania got a very positive response from the audience.

Summarily, the very first initiative of CIMSME-Gujarat received an overwhelming response from 1400+ MSME owners and enthusiasts. But who benefitted on how to grow business not only during a pandemic but afterward.
