The Seeds of foundation and Family background
Founded with immense passion and dedication in the year 2019 by sole word warrior Neha Ved, PenVmedia is on a mission of serving content that converts. From a young age, Neha was much drawn towards the art of storytelling, reading, and writing. All thanks to the literary and artistic influences of her mother, Kumudini Ved, who is a poet and artist and holds a master’s in the field of literature, and her father Dr. Paresh Ved, who empowered her with the idea of being independent and also endowed her with logical aptitude. Being the first child of her family, she believes she received the best of both worlds, which shaped her overall feisty and creative personality.
Education and the drive towards building a career
She completed her bachelor’s in English Literature followed by a post-graduate diploma in Mass Communication and Journalism from the University of Mumbai. With the passion and flair, she possessed for creating content she paved her own path in the media industry and has donned many roles being a featured writer, columnist, editor, and communications consultant. She had the opportunity of working closely with some of the leading media and publishing houses, top brands. And CEOs to create content that boosted personal and organizational branding which overall furnished her personality and skills. She has held key management posts and even served as a Content Head for a leading media agency.
After being on top of the game for such a substantial period, she was now filled with solid on-field experience. Having the passion, drive and the power to lead is what motivated her towards forming her first business venture and becoming the first, first-generation entrepreneur in the family. PenVmedia has until now worked with 50+ clients and companies nationally as well as internationally, which in itself speaks for the quality and assurance the company caters.
Backed by this folio and reputation, the company went on to win the awards such as for Content Strategy consultant of the year. And Bootstrap Startup Champ of the Year by Vyapaar Jagat.com in the years 2020 and 2021, respectively. Neha has also won Rabiaz Walk for a Cause, Best Story of the Year – 2021 for being an inspiring real-life personality. And is nominated for the “Woman Ahead Start-up of the Year” at Fempreneur 2022 awards.
Learnings and Advice
Through the process of being a women entrepreneur, she had her own share of struggles which she coped with and converted into learnings for life. Ratan Tata and Gary Vee are the two entities whose thoughts and ideologies she much resonates with. She believes that skills are something that can be acquired and learned by anyone while practicing them. But the attitude and the zeal to learn is something that holds much more importance, is ingrained; and that is what she looks for in her employees.
When asked about how she maintains work-life balance in this constantly bustling. And tiring workspace she emphatically answers that the time when she’s at work she acts as the Chief of the company. And the times when she’s with her family she gets totally immersed in the colors of her family. Apart from this, she spends a small amount of quality time every day doing anything that makes her feel happy and refreshed. Spending some time in silence and meditating is her way of ending the day and going to sleep.
The path towards the future
She strongly believes in being the hero you always would like to have in your life. And that is visible in the candid demeanor with her employees, mentees, and clients too. Her advice to the generation of young hustlers is that just have the courage to start. And take the first step towards whatever drives you, and the whole journey of thousand miles will follow you; but while you take the plunge and follow your instincts, be sure to heed the advice the elder and experienced.
