Sonia Chadha was a force to be reckoned with in the organic cosmetics industry. Her journey was not easy, but her determination and hard work paid off in a big way. It all started when she gave birth to her first child in 2001. That same year, she started a small manufacturing unit for the shampoo, Shashi, in a small 2-room flat. It was a challenging time for Sonia, as she was juggling between motherhood and entrepreneurship. But she was determined to make it work.
In 2005, she took on the role of Production Manager in their new factory in Narela. She worked tirelessly to ensure that the manufacturing process was streamlined and efficient. Her hard work paid off, and in 2006, Aaryanveda started exporting their products. The company continued to grow, and in 2007, they moved their factory to Baddi, Himachal.
Sonia’s expertise was invaluable to the company, and in 2008, she worked as a contractor in the factory. By 2010, she had taken on the role of Lead Purchase Sector, and in 2012, she became the HR & Admin Head of the company. With her leadership and creative problem-solving skills, she helped the company make the transition to the organized sector in 2014 with the Super Stockiest & Distributor Model.
By 2016, the company had grown to over 250 employees, and 60% of them were women. Sonia was proud to lead an organization that empowered women in the workplace. The company continued to innovate, and in 2018, they launched Cosmetofood in the international market. It was a game changer for the company, and they expanded their online business via Influencer Marketing in 2020.
By 2022, Sonia had acquired expertise in FMCG with certified, award-winning cosmetologists. Her vision was to be the most loved authentic, certified organic cosmetics brand for women by 2025. Her mission was to provide authentic, certified organic cosmetics for women to support them to enhance their authentic inner beauty and self-confidence by using their products as catalysts.
Sonia promised authentic organic skin nutrition to her customers, and most of their ingredients were certified by top organic certification bodies of the world like Ecocert, Cosmos, BDIH, Cosmebio, etc. Cosmetofood delivered tasteable organic, vegan and skin-friendly cosmetics that were made from ECOCERT/COSMOS Certified natural ingredients.
Dermatologically tested and approved, Cosmetofood was the future of beauty products as it delivered the goodness of nature that made your skin very happy skin. Sonia’s journey was an inspiration to all women who wanted to make a difference in the world. Her hard work, determination, and leadership skills had made her a successful entrepreneur and a role model for women everywhere.

Fempreuner 2023 was held on 19th March 2023 at AMA Ahmedabad, the second edition of its kind, and we are overjoyed at its booming success!
