India’s First National Charter Investors Circle Welcomes a Design Visionary — Niraj Shah

Co-Founding Partner, ido design | Chief Design Officer, WeHear Innovations | TEDx Speaker | Film Art Director | CEPT & IIM Calcutta Alumnus | MIT Sloan Design Thinking Certificate

A National Circle of Charter Investors — Built to Design India’s Entrepreneurial Future

Peers Global is building a National Charter Investors Circle — a group of 25 founding investors from across the country who represent different industries, different cities, and different expertise, but share one common belief: that entrepreneurs should not have to build alone.

These are not passive shareholders. These are active builders — people who bring networks, experience, and influence to the table. With Niraj’s entry, the circle gains something it critically needed: a leader who understands design as a strategic force. Someone who can look at the Peers Global experience — the app, the events, the branding, the member journey — and see it through the lens of human-centered design.

His 25 years of building ido design, his experience co-founding a tech startup, his time at IIM Calcutta and MIT Sloan, his work in Gujarati cinema, his national-level leadership at IIID, and his deep roots in Ahmedabad’s entrepreneurial community — all of this converges in a single, powerful contribution to the Peers Global mission.

The Charter Investors Circle is not just funding Peers Global. It is designing the future of how entrepreneurs grow in India and globally.

The Vision Behind Peers Global — And Why It Matters Now

There are 582 million MSMEs globally. Over 90% fail within the first three years. Not because they lack talent. But because they lack the right people to collaborate with, consistent visibility for their business, and a trusted circle that supports them long-term.

Entrepreneurship, for most, is a lonely journey. Growth becomes slow, unpredictable, and isolating. The entrepreneur carries the weight of decisions, risks, and failures alone — because there is no structured ecosystem designed to support them.

Peers Global exists to change this.

Founded by Dr. Pravin Parmar and Vishal Parmar, Peers Global is building the world’s first community of collaboration — a structured, tech-enabled ecosystem where entrepreneurs don’t just network. They collaborate for real business opportunities, build their brand through media, and become part of a trusted circle that supports their journey for the long term.

The model is built on a powerful principle: 1 Action = 1 Life Impacted. Every referral a member gives, every collaboration they create, every person they guide — counts as one life impacted. This is tracked through the Peers Global Unity App with real-time impact dashboards, milestone badges, national rankings, and public recognition.

Today, the ecosystem has over 500 active entrepreneurs, 90%+ monthly engagement, Rs. 10.2 Crore in member-to-member business generated in just 6 months, and over 5,000 lives impacted. The mission is to impact 1 million entrepreneurs by 2030 — through the LSR Growth Model (Learning, Sales, Resources) and a circle-based ecosystem powered by technology.

The backing ecosystem includes VyapaarJagat.com (Business Media), 1 Million Entrepreneurs International Forum, Fempreneur, Greenpreneur, Sportpreneur, and Aequitas Information Technology Pvt Ltd.

Most People Choose One Canvas. He Chose All of Them.

There is a certain kind of person who refuses to be defined by a single discipline. Who looks at interior design and sees branding. Who looks at a Gujarati film script and sees spatial storytelling. Who looks at a medical device and sees human experience waiting to be redesigned.

Niraj Shah is that person.

Over the past 25 years, Niraj has engraved his signature on everything from interior architecture to graphic design, branding strategy, advertising, product design, furniture, fashion, and films. He has co-founded one of Ahmedabad’s most respected multidisciplinary design firms, helped shape Gujarat’s film industry from behind the camera, co-created a world-first medical device that gives hearing to people who were told surgery was their only option, served on the National Executive Committee of the Indian Institute of Interior Designers, and taught at one of India’s most prestigious design schools.

And now, he has chosen to invest — not just money, but his name, his network, and his belief — into the mission of Peers Global.

Today, we are proud to welcome Niraj Shah as a Charter Investor in Peers Global Business Media Pvt Ltd — joining the National Charter Investors Circle, a founding group of 25 visionary investors who will be permanently recognized in the history of this movement.

From Mumbai Classrooms to Ahmedabad’s Most Versatile Design Mind

Niraj’s journey begins in Mumbai, where he grew up, studied at The Scholar High School, and took his first steps into the world of design at Creative Arts Institute. Even as a teenager, he knew that design was not a profession — it was a language. A way of seeing the world that most people never learn.

He went on to study Interior Design at CEPT University, Ahmedabad — one of India’s most rigorous and respected architecture and design schools. CEPT didn’t just teach him how to design spaces. It taught him how to think. How to question. How to see the human being inside every brief.

But Niraj never stopped learning. Years later, he completed an Advanced Programme in Strategy Management at IIM Calcutta — because he understood that design without strategy is decoration, and strategy without design is a spreadsheet. He then pursued MIT Sloan School of Management’s programme on Innovation of Products and Services — the gold standard in Design Thinking globally. He added a Diploma in Corporate Communications from the Ahmedabad Management Association.

CEPT for design fundamentals. IIM Calcutta for strategic thinking. MIT Sloan for innovation methodology. This is not the resume of a decorator. This is the resume of a builder who uses design as his primary tool for creating impact.

Building ido design — 25 Years of Designing Experiences That Last

In 1999, Niraj co-founded ido design with his wife and partner Minali Shah. The name itself carries meaning — ‘Ido’ is an auxiliary universal language, symbolizing design as a medium of global connection. From day one, they refused to be a single-discipline studio.

In the early days, they drew by hand. They made colour palettes using postal colours on cartridge paper. They learned Corel Draw when the rest of the industry was still figuring out what computers could do for design. There was no shortcut. Every project was built from the ground up, with a rationality and integrity that became ido’s signature.

Over 25 years, ido design has evolved into one of Ahmedabad’s most respected multidisciplinary design firms — working across interior architecture, space design, graphic design, branding, advertising, and product design. With a team of 22 professionals, the studio operates on a philosophy that sounds simple but is remarkably rare in practice: quality over quantity, integrity over shortcuts, and human experience over aesthetics.

Niraj has a thumb rule for every client: they must visit the ido studio in person for every logo presentation. If a project doesn’t meet his standards, it gets reworked — even at the cost of time. He doesn’t chase client satisfaction through compromise. He earns it through conviction.

At ido, the word “employee” doesn’t exist. Everyone is a team member or colleague. There is zero politics. Freedom and responsibility coexist. Credit goes to both Niraj and Minali for building a culture where creativity is not just encouraged — it is protected.

The Man Behind the Frames — Art Directing Gujarat’s Film Renaissance

Most designers stay within their lane. Niraj crossed into an entirely different world — cinema.

He served as Art Director for Bey Yaar — Abhishek Jain’s urban Gujarati feature film that is widely credited with helping launch the modern Gujarati cinema movement. He brought his understanding of space, light, and visual storytelling to create environments that didn’t just serve the story — they became part of it.

He then art directed Days of Tafree — the Hindi remake of the blockbuster Chhello Divas. He was involved in the visual world of Lakiro, another landmark Gujarati film. His work in cinema earned him a State Award for Gujarati Film — a recognition that most full-time filmmakers spend their entire careers pursuing.\

He was also appointed to the Gujarati Film Screening Subsidy Committee of the Film & Broadcasting Department, Government of Gujarat — a special committee role in the capacity of art direction, influencing how the state supports and evaluates its cinema.

For Niraj, film was never a side project. It was another canvas. Another way to design experiences that people carry with them long after the lights come on.

Designing Sound for the Deaf — The WeHear Story

And then, Niraj did something that very few designers ever do. He moved from aesthetics to life-changing healthcare technology.

As Chief Design Officer and Co-Founder of WeHear Innovations Pvt Ltd, Niraj helped create HearNU — the world’s first non-surgical solution for conductive hearing loss. Using bone conduction technology, HearNU sends sound directly to the cochlea through the temporal bone, bypassing the eardrum entirely. It is a patented, Made-in-India device that has already helped over 5,000 individuals born with hearing loss experience sound — without surgery.

WeHear is incubated at GUSEC (Gujarat University Startup and Entrepreneurship Council) and i-Hub Gujarat, supported by the Government of Gujarat and Startup India. It has been evaluated and trusted by leading ENT surgeons and audiologists in India and globally.

Niraj’s role was not to build the technology. His role was to ensure that the technology served the human being. That the device felt right in someone’s hand. That the experience of using it was dignified, intuitive, and empowering. This is what great design does — it makes complex technology feel simple, accessible, and human.

From designing restaurants and real estate projects to designing a device that gives people the gift of hearing — this is the arc of a man who never stopped asking the same question: “How can design make this person’s life better?”

The Teacher Who Believes Knowledge Must Be Shared

Niraj has spent over a decade as a visiting faculty and design jury member at CEPT University’s School of Interior Design — the same institution that shaped him. He has mentored students, evaluated projects, and shaped the thinking of a generation of young designers who now practice across India.

He has been a Chairperson of IIID Ahmedabad Regional Chapter (2017–19), where he led the Indian Institute of Interior Designers at a city level, organizing events, driving industry conversations, and elevating the profession. He currently serves on the National Executive Committee of IIID, influencing design practice at a national level.

He has spoken at the Amaravati Design Festival as a Co-Curator and Moderator, at the CEDIA Tech+Business Summit alongside international panelists, and across various industry platforms as a TEDx Speaker. He is a Strategist at HorseWell Consulting and serves on the Advisory Board of Beq&BN.

His personal philosophy can be captured in four words he lives by: “Share what you know.”

He finds inspiration in every conversation — with clients, with students, with chaiwalas and rickshaw drivers. He calls every human being a library. And he believes that sharing knowledge creates energy that ripples through the universe.

What the Founder Will Do with Charter Investor Capital

Dr. Pravin Parmar has been clear from day one: every rupee goes toward systems that compound. No vanity spending. No office upgrades. Pure growth infrastructure.

The total Charter Investor raise is Rs. 50 Lakh from 25 founding investors:

  • 50% — City Expansion & Franchise Campaigns: Launching Peers Global in new cities through franchise promotions, District Executive Director onboarding, and local circle establishment. Every new city multiplies the network effect for every existing member.
  • 20% — Content, Media & Branding: Professional video production, podcast studio, VyapaarJagat.com content engine, social media campaigns, and dedicated media coverage for every Charter Investor.
  • 10% — AI-Powered Unity App Development: Building AI-driven features — smart member matching, collaboration recommendations, impact tracking dashboard, and automated circle management.
  • 10% — Team & Operations: Building the core team that delivers the member experience — community managers, event coordinators, tech support.
  • 10% — Working Capital & Reserves: Operational runway and contingency. Responsible capital management ensuring growth decisions are never made from desperation.

Why a Man Who Has Already Designed Across Every Canvas Chose Peers Global

Niraj Shah doesn’t make impulsive decisions. Every project he has taken on in 25 years has been guided by a simple filter: Does this serve a real human need? Can design make this better?

When he looked at Peers Global, he didn’t see a community platform. He saw a design problem being solved. The entrepreneurial ecosystem in India is broken by design — fragmented networks, transactional relationships, events that entertain but don’t transform. Peers Global is redesigning that experience from the ground up.

He saw that Peers Global doesn’t measure activity — it measures impact. That its architecture is not based on networking — it’s based on collaboration. That its technology doesn’t just connect people — it tracks every action, every referral, every life touched.

For someone who has spent 25 years believing that good design is built on common sense and basic human needs, Peers Global’s model made immediate sense. It is designed for the human experience of entrepreneurship — not just the business metrics.

Niraj is also already deeply embedded in the Peers Global ecosystem. He serves as District Executive Director & Global Advisor — Ahmedabad, leading the expansion of the Peers Global community in one of India’s most entrepreneurial cities. His decision to become a Charter Investor is not just financial alignment — it is a declaration that he believes this movement will define how entrepreneurs grow in the future.

When someone of Niraj’s caliber — a man who has designed brands, cities, films, medical devices, and educational curricula — says “This is worth my name and my capital,” it tells the world something important about what Peers Global is building.

What Being a Charter Investor Really Means — Mapped to Who Niraj Already Is

The Charter Investor Circle is limited to 25 people. Not 26. Not ever. These 25 names will remain on the founding wall of Peers Global regardless of how large the movement becomes.

But the real value is not in the number. It’s in how deeply this role aligns with who Niraj already is:

Lifetime Charter Membership — For a man who has co-founded multiple ventures and leads a design firm with a 25-year track record, access to a structured ecosystem of entrepreneurs is not a membership — it is infrastructure. Every connection, every collaboration, every referral within Peers Global multiplies across his own extensive network of designers, architects, filmmakers, and startup founders. Regular members pay Rs. 1,00,000 per year. Niraj pays nothing, for life.

Equity Ownership (0.10%) — Real equity in Peers Global Business Media Pvt Ltd at Rs. 20 Crore valuation. For someone who has co-founded WeHear and Uniconn and understands startup valuations intimately, this is a founder-stage entry into a platform with proven traction. The next round is projected at Rs. 50 Crore. Niraj got in at the right time — because he evaluates opportunity the way he evaluates design: with rigour, intuition, and clarity.

Grand Media Welcome & PR — A dedicated welcome feature on VyapaarJagat.com and social media promotion across platforms. For a man already featured in industry publications, design festivals, and film credits, this adds a new dimension — it positions Niraj not just as a designer and entrepreneur, but as a visionary investor who puts his capital behind movements that will reshape industries.

Charter Investor Title & Badge — A publicly recognized, permanent title displayed on peersglobal.com, in all official presentations, and at every event. Niraj’s professional identity spans designer, strategist, filmmaker, tech startup co-founder, educator, and industry leader. The Charter Investor title adds the one identity he hasn’t had before: founding believer in a global entrepreneurial movement.

Leadership Fast-Track — First preference for District Executive Director, Industry Director, Circle Founder, or Circle Director positions. Niraj is already the DED & Global Advisor for Ahmedabad. As a Charter Investor, his leadership within Peers Global is not just recognized — it is structurally empowered. He can shape circles, influence expansion strategy, and build the Ahmedabad ecosystem with the authority of a founding investor.

Podcast, Magazine & Coffee Table Book — Access to the Peers Global Podcast, entrepreneur magazine, and Coffee Table Book. For a TEDx Speaker and someone who believes deeply in sharing knowledge, these are not visibility tools — they are content platforms where his design philosophy, entrepreneurial wisdom, and leadership insights reach audiences who may never walk into an ido design studio.

VIP Access to All National Events — Every summit, convention, and event — free, for life. With stage recognition and priority seating. For someone who has curated and moderated design festivals, this is familiar territory — but now in the context of India’s largest entrepreneurial ecosystem. The room knows he’s a founder. The stage acknowledges it.

Unity App — Full Access — Complete access to the Peers Global Unity App with impact dashboard, member directory, collaboration tools, and all premium features. For a Chief Design Officer who has designed tech products at WeHear, the Unity App is not just a tool — it is a system he understands deeply and can contribute to improving.

Annual Charter Investors & Leaders Retreat — An exclusive, high-trust gathering of the 25 Charter Investors, ecosystem builders, and leadership partners. This is the inner circle where the future of Peers Global is shaped. Niraj’s design thinking, strategic perspective, and multidisciplinary experience make him an invaluable voice in this room.

A Note from the Founder

“When I think about the kind of people who should be at the founding table of Peers Global, I think of builders. Not just people who write cheques, but people who see the world differently and have the courage to act on that vision.

Niraj Shah is exactly that kind of builder. For 25 years, he has refused to be boxed into a single discipline. He has designed spaces, brands, films, products, and now a medical device that literally gives people the ability to hear. He has taught at CEPT, led IIID, studied at IIM Calcutta and MIT Sloan, and built ido design into a firm that stands for integrity, quality, and human experience.

But what struck me most about Niraj was not his resume. It was his philosophy. He lives by four words: ‘Share what you know.’ That is the DNA of Peers Global. Our entire ecosystem is built on the idea that when entrepreneurs share their knowledge, connections, and resources, everyone grows. Niraj didn’t just understand this — he has been living it for 25 years.

As our District Executive Director & Global Advisor for Ahmedabad, he is already building the ecosystem on the ground. As a Charter Investor, he is now building it at the foundational level. His name is permanently attached to this movement.

Niraj, welcome to the founding table. You don’t just bring design expertise. You bring a way of seeing the world that this movement needs. And when Peers Global reaches 1 million entrepreneurs, the design intelligence you brought will be visible in everything we built.”

— Dr. Pravin Parmar

The Table Is Being Set. The Seats Are Filling.

Peers Global’s National Charter Investors Circle is being built one visionary at a time. Each new Charter Investor adds a dimension that makes the entire ecosystem stronger — new expertise, new networks, new cities, new industries.

There are only 25 seats. Several are now taken. Once they’re filled, this door closes permanently. There is no second Charter Investor round. There is no extension. There is no negotiation.

If you are an entrepreneur, a business leader, or a community builder who believes that the way entrepreneurs grow in India and the world needs to change fundamentally — this may be the right conversation for you.

The founder is available for a direct conversation. No intermediaries. No sales team. Founder to investor.
