Transportation is the backbone of every economy. Every day, millions of vehicles carry goods, fuel, and essential supplies across cities and states. Yet behind this massive movement lies a constant challenge—ensuring safety, improving operational efficiency, and providing real-time visibility. While GPS tracking had already become common, Mihir Pandya believed that tracking alone was no longer enough. The future demanded intelligent transportation solutions capable of preventing problems before they occurred.
With this vision, GeoSafe was born.
A Computer Engineering graduate with a passion for technology, Mihir always believed that innovation should solve practical problems. In 2014, while still pursuing his engineering degree, he began exploring the transportation and logistics sector. The more he interacted with transporters and manufacturers, the more he realized that existing GPS tracking systems offered only basic location monitoring. Fleet owners needed much more than vehicle tracking—they needed complete operational intelligence.
Determined to bridge this gap, Mihir started developing GeoSafe as a part-time project. For nearly six months, he focused on designing an advanced GPS tracking ecosystem that combined Internet of Things (IoT) technology with intelligent software solutions. Instead of simply building another tracking device, he envisioned a platform capable of transforming how logistics companies manage their fleets.
The result was GeoSafe, an innovative IoT-enabled fleet management solution that goes far beyond conventional GPS tracking. The company introduced several industry-first innovations, including India’s first GPS tracker integrated with mobile-controlled central door locking, GPS-based alcohol detection, portable GPS trackers with high-capacity batteries, and integration with multiple industrial sensors such as temperature, humidity, smoke detection, and fuel level monitoring. GeoSafe also pioneered work in Narrowband IoT and developed one of the world’s first systems capable of assessing road quality through GPS-enabled devices.
What makes GeoSafe unique is its ability to integrate seamlessly with enterprise software such as SAP and ERP systems, enabling manufacturers and logistics companies to monitor operations in real time while improving productivity and reducing operational risks. The platform serves both B2B and B2C markets, with a strong focus on transporters, manufacturers, fleet operators, tanker businesses, and industrial logistics.
Like many startups, GeoSafe’s journey began with uncertainty. Rather than waiting for a perfect product, Mihir chose to validate his innovation directly with customers. During the testing phase, he personally contacted transport companies through phone calls and SMS campaigns. Within just two days, GeoSafe secured its first customer. More importantly, that early customer became a valuable source of feedback, helping the team refine the product and introduce features that addressed real industry challenges.
This customer-centric approach became one of GeoSafe’s greatest strengths. Beginning with door-to-door outreach and telemarketing, the company gradually expanded through dealer partnerships and business collaborations. Today, GeoSafe has built a network of more than 29 dealers across India while serving several leading organizations, including the Gujarat Election Commission, Nyara Energy (Essar Petroleum), Sanghi Cement, Emerald Mercedes-Benz, RedBus, Krishna Dairy, and Delhi Rajasthan Transport Co. Ltd.
The startup’s commitment to innovation has also earned prestigious recognition, including the GUSEC Traction Award, acknowledging its outstanding sales growth and market traction. Support from GUSEC, along with programs such as SSIP and Jump Start, provided valuable infrastructure, mentorship, and technical guidance during the company’s early stages.
Looking ahead, GeoSafe envisions becoming a globally recognized IoT solutions provider. The company aims to deploy over 12,000 smart devices within the next few years while expanding its enterprise logistics solutions beyond India. By continuously developing intelligent technologies that improve transportation safety, operational efficiency, and industrial automation, GeoSafe is building the foundation for the next generation of connected mobility.
For Mihir Pandya, entrepreneurship is driven by action rather than hesitation. His advice—“Do not wait. Let’s start now.”—perfectly reflects the philosophy that has guided GeoSafe from a college project to an award-winning technology company. Through innovation, persistence, and a relentless focus on solving real-world challenges, GeoSafe continues to redefine what smart transportation truly means.
