iKure Techsoft Pvt Ltd, which is a Kolkata-based firm today revealed it has secured an undisclosed amount of funding from Inflection Point Ventures. The startup also has plans to use the acquired funds for technology and business expansion.

The company which is founded in the year 2010 by Sujay Santra, is a social health enterprise engaged in delivering primary healthcare, prevention, and wellness services to semi-urban, rural populations with the help of its hubs and spokes clinic model.

The startup, as of now operates eight primary healthcare clinics and six mini-clinics and even conducts around five health intervention programs per week.

“Our journey with IPV has been very enriching. There is also the added benefit of accessing the IPV network comprising more than 250 CXOs across various companies,”

Sujay Santra said on the investment provided by IPV

iKure claims to have touched eight million people in India as of now, and even aims to serve around 250 million undeserved people over the couple of four years.

IPV angel investor Dr. Rahul Verma, who participated as a part of the round, said,

“iKure is integrating technology and medical expertise to address the last-mile healthcare delivery challenges in rural India. The impact that this can bring is huge, both from a social and economic perspective. iKure has got initial success and has struck the right model.”

Apart from setting up its own primary clinics, iKure is also working with the central and several state governments of India too offers with its know-how sustainable business model and technology as a part of the ambitious Ayushman Bharat Scheme.
