John Fredriksen is a Cypriot citizen who lives in London, and before h abandoned his Norwegian citizenship, he held the title of Norway’s richest man.
In the year 2013, Norwegian magazine Kapital listed his net worth of around $12 billion. Today, Forbes magazine listed his net worth of around $10 billion.
According to the Lloyds List 2014, they listed him in the top 10 most influential people in the shipping industry.
Apart from his businesses, he is an avid art collector who collects classic Norwegian art.
But the billionaire is also a philanthropist and has donated hundreds of millions of Norwegian Kroner to medical research in Norway.
As of his personal life, he is a widower and has two daughters: Cecilie and Katherine Astrup Fredriksen.
