An SSIP (Student Start-Up and Innovation Policy) orientation programme was held at Gujarat Arts and Science College, Ahmedabad on 19th Dec 2019. The objective of this event was to sensitize the faculties. About various entrepreneurship opportunities available to students through the SSIP Policy of the state government. Mr. HARSHAL SANGHVI of EssenceTech conducted the orientation programme in which Dr. Megha Bhatt from SciKnowTech was also invited as a guest speaker. This SSIP orientation programme was to introduce Entrepreneurship Skills amongst students. Sessions on Innovation, Creativity, and Design Thinking were taken up by Mr.Harshal Sanghvi. Where he explained the trainers through a very creative and innovative method.
The main aim of the Training was to propagate the new buzzword Entrepreneurship among the professors of Gujarat College, Ahmedabad. And making them aware of the policies under SSIP and how they can involve students in this new domain. The session also focused on Taking up Entrepreneurship as a Career option for College Students. This will encourage them to expand the opportunities after they graduate. Also, the program was organized by SSIP Incubation Center, Gujarat College, Ahmedabad, and coordinated by Dr. Nishit Modi (Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry, Gujarat College) in which more than 30 professors took part.
