The rendezvous with art at ICAC Art Gallery saw Sonal Ambani talk about not only the beauty of a painting but the story behind it. Shalu Juneja was forthright about the fact that she exposes her students to different Indian art forms so that they can get a perspective about the richness of our artistic heritage. Purva spoke about her passions, her undying efforts to beautify the city by installing art forms and simultaneously dealing with industrial waste. Asha Mandapa shared many interesting anecdotes. Her sculpture denoting the unity of diverse elements is a must-see.
Moderator Himanshu Nainani set the ball rolling for an interesting art tete a tete. This event was In collaboration with chairperson Babita Jain, FLO AHMEDABAD Chapter (FICCI FLO).
Kinnery Mardia Shah is the Director at International Creative Arts Centre (ICAC), a self funded NGO working for the development of art and artists in the country.
Ms. Kinnery Mardia Shah was the host for the afternoon. Her initiative to add another art gallery to Ahmedabad is indeed very creditable.
The Rendezvous with ICAC also runs an art residency at Dehgam about 40 kms from Ahmedabad where they invite artists for residency camps.
