1st & 2nd August 2020, (Saturday & Sunday). All Day
About the genesis of this Virtual Exhibition:
COVID-19 has halted the traditional markets and weavers across the handloom clusters are under severe financial crisis. To boost their confidence and weave the threads of hope during these turbulent times, a virtual exhibition is planned on August 1-2, 2020 implemented by the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) and supported by HSBC and organized by Pinks Event. This event will give a platform to weavers to showcase their craft and products and also generate an opportunity for sales and networking. We have created product catalogues for 20 weavers who will be participating in the first phase of the virtual exhibition. We are hopeful that the event will give the required boost and open avenues for market linkages resulting into getting their silent looms back to action.”
When asked on “Why this virtual exhibition is so unique as compared to so many global exhibitions?”, the organizer Ms. Pinky Patel, Founder of Pinks Event highlights the key unique features of this 2 days exhibit that aims to take exhibitions to the next level by not only showcasing the rich, exquisite culture heritage of these weavers which has been the focal point with the Beautiful Tangaliya art and Patola Weaving from the beautiful Surendranagar in Gujarat. She added “This will be a very interesting two days for the weaves as well as they will be able to go Glocal in line with the mission of our honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji and also give them an experience on the use and leveraging technology to grow their business” As a women entrepreneur myself, I see this as a huge opportunity not only for my business but also it fulfills our mission to support more women and rural artisans of our country and give them a global stage to prosper and grow.
We invite you all to join us in our mission to encourage more women in our country. Kindly click here for Free Registration as a Visitor to have a Look, and Shop the Beautiful Art Pieces and Meet the Weavers Virtually : https://forms.gle/hkbu6yBesv6eerdh6
