My name is Haimil Patel, and I represent Sahjanand Group, a real estate construction company that has been shaping the skyline of Ahmedabad for over 35 years. When people look at the Sahjanand name today, they see high-quality residential and commercial spaces, landmark projects and a brand built on integrity. What they don’t see is the rich legacy, responsibility and determination that brought us here – and continues to take us forward.
My professional journey began long before I officially entered the business. It began when I was a child watching my father build not just structures, but trust. He co-founded Sahjanand Group with strong values and a commitment to deliver quality without compromise. Growing up in that environment, I absorbed an important lesson very early – real estate is not just about buildings; it is about the lives that happen inside those buildings.
After completing my Bachelors of Technology from PDEU, Gandhinagar, I wanted to deepen my understanding of construction, design and global infrastructure standards. This led me to pursue Masters of Science in Construction Engineering and Management with a minor in Real Estate Finance from Columbia University, New York. Along with this, I completed specialized certification courses at Real Estate Management Institute, Mumbai, and the LRE course at Shivalik Institute (SIRE), Ahmedabad.
My academic journey wasn’t driven by degrees alone – it was driven by curiosity. I always found myself fascinated by how buildings influence lifestyle, community and progress. Each course, each project, and each industry interaction strengthened my belief that real estate is a responsibility – an opportunity to improve how people live and work.
Returning to India was not just a career decision – it was a commitment to carry forward my father’s legacy and elevate Sahjanand Group to new heights. Transitioning from a life and career in the USA back to India wasn’t easy. It took four years of resilience, discipline and hard work to build my position in the business and contribute meaningfully. But every challenge built me further and reminded me why I chose this path.
Today, as the second generation leading Sahjanand Group, my mission is to merge our core values with modern innovation. The world is evolving rapidly, and our projects reflect this shift – we are deeply focused on integrating smart technologies, sustainable materials and progressive designs to make buildings that are efficient, elegant and future-ready. Sahjanand Group aims to become a global player in real estate, undertaking challenging projects that cater to tomorrow’s business world. Continuous learning is my commitment to growth – both personal and professional.
Work-life balance is not about doing everything every day – it is about choosing what matters. I stay physically active through football and pickleball, spend time with friends and value every moment spent with my family. My evenings with them recharge me and keep me grounded.
My greatest motivator is my father. Reflecting on his journey, dedication and values constantly reminds me to build upon his legacy and make him proud. Success, to me, is not just financial growth – it is balancing professional respect, family responsibility and contributions to society.
