From an Introverted Literature Student to an AI-Driven Marketing Visionary

Some journeys don’t begin with big dreams – they begin quietly, in library corners, with books as companions.
This is how Soma Bhattacharjee, CEO & Co-Founder of Mahi Mahi Marketing Solutions Pvt. Ltd., unknowingly built the foundation of a career that would later revolutionize how small businesses experience marketing.

A Masters in English Literature, Soma describes herself as an introvert who preferred reading over socializing. While she claims she “was not quite an achiever,” she did top her college in English Honours – a hint of the sharp analytical and language skills that would eventually shape her marketing genius.
Her deep reading habit, she says, trained her mind to understand human behaviour – a skill she now uses to decode customer motivations effortlessly.

Discovering a Purpose Bigger Than a Job

Soma began her career as a copywriter in 2008, gradually moving into creative leadership and eventually strategy. This shift changed everything: she saw how small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs) struggle not because they lack ambition, but because they lack access to structured, intelligent marketing systems.
Large corporates avoided SMBs because of limited budgets. Small agencies lacked strategy. Fragmentation was growing. Budgets were shrinking. And lean teams were drowning in tool chaos.

This gap kept bothering her.
This is when the thought of starting something of her own struck – not to create “another digital agency,” but to solve a systemic problem.

The Birth of Mahi Mahi: One Address, Three Powerful Solutions

Soma founded Mahi Mahi to make enterprise-grade marketing accessible to SMBs.
Instead of offering mere execution, she built the company on three powerful pillars:

Consulting – Strategy First

Helping SMBs gain clarity using research, data, and structured marketing frameworks.

Services – Powered by AI Toolstacks

Her team uses a specialist AI ecosystem to deliver content, campaigns, and marketing workflows faster and with better precision – combining human intelligence + AI efficiency.

Products – mAIven (previously MavenAI), the Agentic AI Platform

In 2025, Soma launched mAIven (previously MavenAI), an AI-led martech platform designed for lean teams.
Instead of juggling 5-10 apps, mAIven (previously MavenAI) becomes a virtual marketing team that:

  • plans
  • generates
  • optimises
  • executes
marketing tasks in a unified system.
It removes tool chaos and manual repetitive work – a game-changer for SMBs.

Clients now include Syntoptek, Dopulence, Myrhaki and many SMBs across India, US/Canada, and the MENA region.

Her competitive strength?
Years of hands-on experience with IT giants and tech startups.

The Vision: Democratizing Intelligent Marketing

Soma’s larger mission is clear:

“I want SMBs and start-ups to have the marketing experience that enterprises leverage – niche yet easy to implement.”

In the next decade, she sees herself building more martech platforms, solving marketing ops, content development, and workflow challenges at scale.

Bold Decisions, Real Challenges & Unshakable Grit

The boldest decision of her life?
Building mAIven (previously MavenAI) – a product requiring deep tech investment, clarity, and courage.
The challenge she’s still navigating?
Funding. But she’s persistent and strategic about overcoming it.

Despite these hurdles, recognition has followed her work – including the Trendsetters to Watch Award at Fueld Conference 2.0.

Life Beyond Work: Depth Over Noise

Being an introvert, Soma lives a quiet, intentional life.
Her “social circle” mostly includes books, workouts, OTT nights with her husband, and an annual bike ride tradition.

She believes in being a deep thinker rather than someone who does “a lot of things.”
She is currently learning design thinking and plans to study behavioural science and human anthropology.
These skills, she says, make her a better problem solver – whether in business, product, or marketing.

Mindset: Risk, Reflection, and Relentless Curiosity

Soma doesn’t consider herself “successful” yet – not until she achieves her full vision.
Her success mantra?

“Take risks. There is no other way of knowing.”

She admires problem-solvers who became business owners – not one idol, but many.
Her strengths include:

  • being a good listener
  • being a problem-solver

and being naturally strong at conversion/sales (despite her introverted nature!)

An Inspiring Fempreneur Rising Quietly but Powerfully

Soma Bhattacharjee is not the loud, flamboyant entrepreneur stereotype.
She builds quietly.
Thinks deeply.
Executes strategically.

And with Mahi Mahi and mAIven (previously MavenAI), she is shaping the future of lean, intelligent, AI-powered marketing systems – ensuring that even the smallest business can market with the power and precision of an enterprise.

Her story proves one thing:

You don’t need to be loud to make an impact. You need clarity, courage, and the will to solve real problems.
