He became a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) and a Fellow of the Indian College of Physicians (FICP) in 2015. In 2019, he added a PhD in Diabetes from the European International University, Paris.

The fellowship recognised his contributions to diabetes and cardio-renal medicine and was presented by internationally respected experts Prof. Stefano Del Prato and Prof. Ele Ferrannini.
