Piyush Vayeda: Building the Future of Residential Healthcare

-

Healthcare has traditionally been built around hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic centres, requiring patients to travel whenever medical attention is needed. But what if healthcare came to people instead of people going to healthcare?

This simple yet transformative question inspired Piyush Vayeda to create a new category in India’s healthcare industry.

As the Founder of The Society Clinic, Piyush is pioneering India’s first residential healthcare ecosystem, bringing doctors, diagnostics, nursing care, physiotherapy, pharmacy support, and emergency medical services directly into gated communities. His vision is reshaping how urban India experiences healthcare by making quality medical services an integral part of everyday living.

Today, The Society Clinic is not just another healthcare startup-it is redefining residential healthcare infrastructure for the future.

A Journey from Finance to Healthcare Innovation

Every entrepreneurial journey begins with a unique perspective.

Born and raised in Mithapur, a small industrial town in Gujarat’s Dwarka district, Piyush pursued a postgraduate degree in Finance from Gujarat University before building a successful career in the financial services industry.

Over nearly a decade, he worked with leading financial institutions including Motilal Oswal, Anand Rathi, and Emkay Global, gaining deep expertise in business strategy, operations, financial planning, and organizational growth.

Although finance provided him with professional success, life had different plans.

The idea that would eventually shape his entrepreneurial journey came not from financial markets but from the realities of caring for his own family.

When Personal Experience Becomes Purpose

As the only child in a family with seven elderly members, Piyush personally experienced the constant responsibility of arranging timely medical care, doctor consultations, diagnostic services, and emergency support for senior citizens.

This led to the launch of The Family Member in 2017, an elder-care organization dedicated to providing home-based healthcare and caregiving services.

Over the years, the organization has served more than 25,000 senior citizens, earning the trust of countless families while giving Piyush valuable insights into India’s healthcare ecosystem.

Creating a New Category in Healthcare

Working closely with patients and families revealed that the healthcare accessibility problem extended far beyond elderly care.

In 2023, he launched The Society Clinic, India’s first residential healthcare ecosystem.

The concept integrates fully equipped healthcare clinics

directly inside residential communities, providingresidents with convenient access to healthcare without leaving their neighbourhood.

Making Healthcare a Residential Amenity

The Society Clinic offers 24×7 doctor consultations, nursing services, physiotherapy, diagnostic support, pharmacy assistance, chronic disease management, preventive healthcare programs, and emergency medical response.

The company partners with real estate developers, Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs), and housing societies, making healthcare a valuable residential amenity.

Delivering Healthcare That Creates Real Impact

The Society Clinic has delivered over 20,000 healthcare services, managed more than 1,000 chronic care patients, responded to over 100 lifesaving emergencies, and established 12 operational clinics.

These achievements reflect healthier communities, faster emergency response, and improved healthcare accessibility.

A Vision to Transform Healthcare Across India

Piyush envisions building India’s largest residential healthcare network, serving over 300,000 gated communities while transforming preventive healthcare, elderly care, chronic disease management, and emergency response across the country.

Recognition and Entrepreneurial Leadership

The Society Clinic received the Best Healthcare Startup 2023 award from Pioneers of Gujarat.

Working alongside Co-Founder Rajnikant Patel, Piyush continues expanding the model while following his guiding philosophy:

“Keep working on your ideas, no matter how foolish they look in the beginning.”

Redefining the Future of Community Healthcare

Piyush Vayeda’s entrepreneurial journey demonstrates that meaningful innovation often begins by questioning conventional thinking.

Through The Society Clinic, he is building healthier communities, improving preventive care, reducing emergency response times, and redefining the future of residential healthcare in India.
